1.2.3.4.10.25....30

30, that is how many freaking bug bites I have on my body. They itch like CRAZY!!!!!
Aside from the pictures, great tan, I have bug bites as a souveniour from our family trip to Belize.

Belize is amazing. Highly diverse geographically and culturally. The people are great and the food was even better. Can't say it was the best trip of my life--due to family drama. Some day I will share but since my blog is open for all the internet to see. I probably shouldn't discuss the gory details.

I will leave on that note with something positive... a beautiful beach picture

just breathe....

Sometimes it takes some time away to realize how great it is to come back home to familiar surroundings to make your thoughts come back to perspective. Thanks again to all the warm comments--it truly means so much.
Taking a step back, I'll share what was going on last time I posted.
The week of my last post, we found out E got the job with American Eagle as a first officer pilot. YAY!

I'll be honest my first reaction was not so positive. On the outside for him, I was extremely excited. On the inside--scared, sad--weepy to be exact, and well, just plain scared. Scared of more change. Scared of what this means for us financially for the next 5 or so years while he is just getting started at a regional airline, scared of what it could possibly mean for me and our marriage knowing he will be gone so much until he gets to a point with a major airline and has established seniority.Scared about what this means for us and my desire to start adding to our family of two. So with all this emotion, I became REALLY WEEPY. Weepy to the point that it was difficult for me to admit what I was thinking and feeling.

I am very fortunate to have such a great support system here, that I started to share my feelings and began to seek advice from others who have been or are in my similar situation. I also gained the confidence to share my thoughts and feelings with E--while we were downing a bottle of celebratory champagne. Gotta love bubbly courage.

Nonetheless, I received positive support from everyone! This enabled me to get back on my feet and realize that it will all be okay and life in general will have a way of working itself out--family, finances and all.

So, I am in the midst of trying to get caught up with everyone..I have missed you all so.

absence makes the heart grow fonder

taking a little break from my blog...trying to sort out some stuff in my head and heart. Haven't been able to share what is going on in my head for fear that I am being very selfish in my thoughts. We are leaving tomorrow night on a family vacation which I think will help me clear my head. see you on the flip side.

I'm Still (borrowed from everyone)

I'm STILL

Still amazed: That I have managed to take on so much change in my life the last year

Still getting used to: living in a new city

Still proud of: my husband and his motivation to follow his dream to become a pilot

Still not proud of: my judgemental ways

Still hoping: that we can start a family before I turn 34

Still worried: that we won't be able to start a family because of financial reasons

Still never going to: gamble

Still pretending: I am self confident

Still reading: so many books that I have started and not been able to finish

Still wanting to read: The guide to career counseling

Still interested in: becoming a career counselor

Still not interested in: running a marathon

Still looking forward to: When eli becomes a captain at a major airline

Still not looking forward to: the day I get the call that one of my other grandparents have past away

Still failing: at not beating my self up

Still grateful for: my family and friends

Still praying: for my family and friends

Still not believing in: that you cannot change things

Still believing in: in myself and others
